Gold is certainly the king of all the minerals as it is being used in numerous fields and the fact that makes it more precious from others is that it is irreplaceable. Another factor which makes this mineral more valuable is that it is available only from the nature and hence it is a limited resource.

Different Uses of Gold:

Jewelry: Gold in India was initially used by the kings and queens as their ornaments and jewelry and the legacy has just carried on in the modern-day India too. India is the fourth largest importer of gold & most of the Gold that is imported is being used for making jewelry.

Electronics: Gold is the most important material which is used to create different electronic items. The main reason behind it is that as it is free from corrosion and a very good conductor of current as well.

Computers: Gold is an important material which is being used to make computer accessories and it is used to make many computer and mobile chips as well as motherboard. With a small amount of mixture with nickel and cobalt it gets an extra edge and becomes much stronger.

Medicine: Gold has wide range of use in medicine as well. It is used by dentist as filler in the teeth. It is used to make surgical instruments. Gold isotope is used in radioactive treatment of cancer. It is used in the treatment of Lagophthalmos which is a medical condition where a person has problem closing his or her eyes properly.

Aerospace: Gold is used in the aerospace industry as it is a very reliable metal and is strong enough to sustain extreme atmospheric pressures. Gold is also used as a lubricant to decrease the friction between the moving parts of any machinery.
